Fort HealthCare provides care to the residents in and around Jefferson County. The Fort Memorial Hospital is a modern, fully accredited, acute care facility with 49 beds. In addition to inpatient services, Fort HealthCare offers ambulatory surgery, the Center for Joint Replacement, an exceptional hand care program and many specialty clinics, a birthing center, cardiac rehabilitation, emergency services including the Urgent Care Program for after-hours treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, occupational medicine and more.

The Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Tribe in Wisconsin is building a new health center in Hayward to provide comprehensive care for the community. The new facility will include medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, X-ray, lab, community health, chiropractic, IT, and HR services.
